FAQs

What should I wear?

Our church has a casual feel. The best thing to wear is whatever makes you feel comfortable.

What's the worship experience like?

Our service consists of music, teaching and prayer. It generally lasts 60-70 minutes.  The teaching is practical, easy to understand and relevant for everyday life. We observe Communion on the first Sunday of every month in order to remember Jesus' sacrifice on the cross as a means for our salvation.

What Bible translation is used?

Pastor Mike generally teaches from the New Living Translation (NLT) or New International Version (NIV). These versions are easier for those without a biblical background to understand.

Where do I park?

You can enter the parking lot from 15th Ave South. If you are coming from 3rd Street, turn right onto 15th Ave and the parking lot will be on your right. Feel free to park wherever you'd like. Our greeters will meet you at the door and direct you to the cookies, coffee and worship area.

What is available for my children?

Children's church is available for kids 4 years though 3rd grade. Nursery is available for infants and toddlers through age 3.

How do I join a Community Group?

Community Groups are offered during the fall and spring. If you are interested in joining a group, simply fill out the contact form to let us know of your interest. You will be contacted with information about our current groups, who is leading them and when they are offered.

How can I get more involved with the church?

Next Steps classes are offered as needed for those who are interested in becoming more involved or desire membership in New Direction. During these classes, you will discover your spiritual gifts, our beliefs, core values, and ways to get involved. Attending the Next Steps class does not require you to join and membership is not required to attend our church.

What is New Direction's denominational affiliation?

We are associated with the American Baptist Churches USA. To see more about our beliefs, click here
